Bruno Carvalho Headshot2.jpg

During his diverse career in urban design, master planning, and landscape architecture, Bruno Carvalho has been engaged in a wide variety of projects throughout the United States and abroad including the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, Chicago, Atlanta, West Virginia, California, South Florida, and the Caribbean. As a registered landscape architect in Maryland and Virginia, as well as an AICP certified planner, Bruno is well versed in a broad range of professional design experience from intimate personal landscapes to big picture master plans. Prior to founding CGLA in 2009, Bruno led an urban design and landscape architecture group based out of Northern Virginia with a nationally recognized multi-disciplinary firm. His success as a design professional stems from emphasizing a collaborative approach to projects, building long-lasting relationships with clients, and a passion for great design. Mr. Carvalho is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he was the first landscape architecture student to graduate from their acclaimed Urban Affairs and Planning School located in Old Town, Alexandria, VA. His career in Architecture started at Stephenson+Good, where he had the opportunity to work alongside Robert Good, his mentor, and friend. Mr. Carvalho's work strives to reach the optimum solution for each unique project, with the idea that no two design solutions are alike. As principal of CGLA, Mr. Carvalho is personally involved in every project undertaken by the firm.

Bruno (left) loves design. Gonzo (right) loves a nice fancy suit and "hitting the town" with his friends. Aside from looking so much alike, these two definately share allot of similarities in dressing, hair style and wine (oh so I've heard).
